Underwater Investigator

Ivesprotex Investigation - Underwater Crime Scene Investigation Underwater investigation is a valuable asset for many agencies from insurance to environmental agencies. With insurance, an underwater investigator has the ability to approach the scene the same way an auto claims investigator would examine a vehicle after an incident; he or she can assess an underwater accident claim, investigate fraud cases and gather any relevant data. While the environment is different from a land based scene, a UCSI can search for and examine the scene, document- with photography and coordinates, collect evidence and analyze the findings. A certified underwater investigator approaches the scene with the intent to preserve the area while utilizing scientific methodology and protocols to find the answers. When an investigation is completed, a full and detailed report is presented with all of the findings- which can be used to validate or invalidate a claim. Our Private Investigator, Angela is a certified UCSI, she completed her certification in 2008. She is a certified science diver and trained in confined space and overhead environment diving. She is a certified cavern diver and is trained in sample/evidence location, documentation, collection and analysis. She is trained to search and locate evidence, as well as documentation and investigation of automobiles, aquatic craft and aircraft in an underwater environment.
