Mass. man accused of faking disability for $4K February 14, 2013, Hull, MA — Investigators say a Hull man fraudulently received more than $4,000 in disability benefits while he was working. Michael McLaughlin, 49, was arraigned Wednesday on charges of workers’ compensation fraud and larceny over $250. He was released on his promise to return to Hingham District Court for a pretrial conference March 20. Investigators said McLaughlin began receiving temporary total disability benefits through his insurer in February 2010 after he was injured while working and later certified that he was not employed.
